Steve Ritchie, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Papa John’s, has made a career out of working for this company. He started out in May 1996 as a customer service rep. Just three months later he was an assistant manager and three months after that he managed one of its locations. According to Bloomberg.com, he continued to advance through the ranks of this company and in 2006 he bought his first Papa John’s franchise.
He joined Papa John’s corporate world in January 2010. He moved to where this company is based, just outside of Louisville, Kentucky, and became a senior vice president in charge of their global OST. Steve Ritchie moved up to being the chief operating officer in May 2014 and in August 2015 he tacked on the title of president. He was named as Papa John’s CEO in January 2018.
At every position Steve Ritchie Papa Johns has worked at Papa John’s he has worked hard to succeed. He is now leading a firm with more than 120,000 employees putting together the people that worked on the corporate side and those that work in franchises. When it was announced that he was taking on the role of CEO it was said that he would showcase the pizza that Papa John’s offers and also work to take care of this company’s team members.
Among the duties that Steve Ritchie now has at Papa John’s is setting the overall strategic vision, managing this company’s marketing efforts, developing it globally, and enhancing the customer experience. He has hired new executives for a number of positions to help with this effort. He brought in a new digital officer and chief information officer, for instance. He also hired a new chief marketing officer who has decades of experience.
When Steve Ritchie was named as the CEO he released a statement saying that he was humbled to have been chosen for this position. He said that he looked forward to delivering customers a world-class experience both in their restaurants and in having a pizza delivered. He added that he was sure that some team members working for Papa John’s now will one day be top leaders of the company.
