Charlemagne Tha God, Drugs, Therapy And Hosting


Charlemagne Tha God is 39 years old and had made a name for himself in the radio hosting world and beyond. He grew up in South Carolina and began his life selling drugs and getting busted for it as well Through revelations he decided to try something else besides drugs and he enrolled himself into night school. He eventually got an internship in radio.


Honing his hosting skill over the course of several years, Charlemagne landed great jobs with Wendy Williams being the second hosts on the show. In 2010 he began his present gig “The Breakfast Club” hosting with DJ Envy and Angela Yee out of New York City. This radio gig led to more great opportunities.


In television, Charlemagne is on the Guy Code on MTV2. This is a show that explains how guys have their own little language to help each other out. Charlemagne is also a narrator for BET. Charlemagne’s hosting abilities are excellent, but it is his help to black in America that is very notable.


Charlemagne tha God is an author and wrote “Black Privilege: Opportunity Comes to Those Who Create It” and “Shook One: Anxiety Playing Tricks on Me”. Charlemagne admits that he goes to therapy. He says that he has a lot of anxiety and paranoia over being a black man in America. Charlemagne feels that it is important for people to support black and brown people in America. Charlemagne the God is the father of two daughters soon to be three children. He seems to strive to try to make America a better place for them to grow up in. Charlemagne Tha God has worked his way to the top of his game and he keeps striving to do more and inspires others to do the same.
